Troubleshooting Uploads

Common upload issues and solutions when uploading media files to Meta.

Upload Failures

Upload Stops or Stalls

Solutions:

  1. Wait 30 seconds and try again
  2. Check internet connection
  3. Toggle Turbo Mode (turn off if on, or vice versa)
  4. Upload fewer files at once (try 5-10 instead of 20+)

"Network Failure" Error

What happens:

  • System automatically retries failed uploads
  • Usually succeeds after 1-2 retries

If it persists:

  1. Turn Turbo Mode OFF
  2. Retry the upload
  3. Upload in smaller batches (5 files at a time)

Upload Stuck at 100%

This is normal - Meta is processing the file on their servers. Large videos take time to process. Wait 1-2 minutes and file will appear.

File Size Errors

Limits:

  • Images: 30MB maximum
  • Videos: 4GB maximum

Solutions:

  • Compress images or videos
  • Reduce resolution
  • Split large videos into parts

Unsupported Format

Supported formats:

  • Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF
  • Videos: MP4, MOV

Solution: Convert file to supported format

Slow Upload Speed

  1. Enable Turbo Mode (on by default) - especially helpful for international users
  2. Check your internet upload speed (not download speed)
  3. Close other applications using bandwidth
  4. Be patient with large files - 4GB videos take time even with fast connection

Google Drive Import Issues

Permission Denied

  • Click "Import from Google Drive" again
  • Complete authorization flow

Files Not Found

  • Ensure you own the files or have access
  • Check if files are in trash
  • Try direct upload instead

Account Switching Clears Media

This is expected behavior. Switching ad accounts clears all uploaded media and configuration to prevent mixing media across different accounts.

Solution: Complete your work before switching accounts, or use Media Library to save media for reuse.

When to Disable Turbo Mode

Turbo Mode speeds up uploads by using parallel connections, but it can cause issues in some situations:

Disable Turbo Mode if:

  • You have a slow or unstable internet connection
  • You're on mobile data or a congested network
  • Uploads keep failing with network errors
  • You're behind a corporate firewall or VPN that limits concurrent connections

Keep Turbo Mode enabled if:

  • You have a stable broadband connection
  • You're uploading many files and want faster throughput

Toggle Turbo Mode using the switch in the upload panel.

Google Drive Troubleshooting

Shared Drive Files

Files on shared Google Drives may require you to be the owner of the file, not just have view or edit access. If you can't import a file from a shared drive:

  1. Make a copy of the file to your own Google Drive
  2. Import the copy instead

Re-Authorization Required

Google's API occasionally requires re-authorization. If Google Drive imports stop working:

  1. Click Import from Google Drive again
  2. Complete the Google authorization flow
  3. This is a Google API limitation, not an Ads Uploader issue

Large Files

For files over 100MB, Google Drive import is often more reliable than direct browser upload. Google Drive uses server-to-server transfer, which avoids browser memory limits and is less affected by connection instability.

For the most reliable uploads, follow these guidelines:

File TypeRecommended BatchMaximum
Images (< 5MB each)20-30 files50+ works with Turbo Mode
Images (5-30MB each)10-15 files20-30 files
Videos (< 100MB each)5-10 files15-20 files
Videos (100MB+)1-3 files5 files

Tip: It's faster to upload in multiple smaller batches than to retry one large failed batch.

Browser Ad Blockers

Browser extensions like uBlock Origin, Brave Shield, AdBlock Plus, or Privacy Badger can interfere with Ads Uploader's interface:

  • Upload buttons or dropzones may not appear
  • Google Drive import may be blocked
  • Progress indicators may not update
  • API calls to Meta may be blocked

Solution: Disable your ad blocker for adsuploader.com or add it to your allowlist. The site does not serve ads. These extensions sometimes block legitimate API calls that happen to match ad-related URL patterns.
