Supported Campaigns
Ads Uploader works with most standard Meta campaign types. This page covers what's fully supported, what we've seen work but haven't fully tested, and how to get help if your campaign type isn't listed.
Supported Campaign Objectives
These objectives are fully supported and well-tested:
| Objective | Notes |
|---|---|
| Sales | Including Purchase, Add to Cart, and other conversion events |
| Traffic | Link clicks and landing page views |
| Leads | Lead generation forms |
| App Promotion | App installs (standard setup) |
Other Objectives
Engagement and Awareness campaigns have been used successfully with Ads Uploader, but are less thoroughly tested than the objectives above. They should work for most standard setups.
Supported Ad Formats
| Format | Method |
|---|---|
| Single Image | Existing ad and XLSX |
| Single Video | Existing ad and XLSX |
| Carousel | Existing ad only |
| Flexible Ads (multiple text/media variants) | Existing ad only |
Catalog and Advantage+ Catalog Ad Sets
A common source of errors like "Missing Product Set" or "link field is required" is a catalog-bound ad set - including Advantage+ catalog (DPA) ad sets. These have a product catalog connected at the ad-set level, and Meta requires every ad in them to point at a catalog product, not a website URL. Trying to run a normal website-conversion image or video ad inside one of these ad sets will fail.
Two things to check:
- Run website ads in a Website ad set. If you want standard single-image or single-video ads that send people to a URL, create them in a fresh Website ad set with no catalog connected. The "Missing Product Set" error comes from the ad set itself, not from your creative.
- Copy settings from a regular ad, not a catalog ad. When you pick a template/source ad to copy settings from, choose a regular (non-catalog) ad. Pure catalog ads aren't a supported template - Ads Uploader builds single image/video, multi-media, flexible, and carousel ads, not catalog/DPA creatives.

Tips
Create Ads as Paused
If you're trying a campaign type you haven't used with Ads Uploader before, set the ad status to Paused during creation. This lets you verify everything looks correct in Ads Manager before going live, and avoids spending budget on misconfigured ads.
Set Up From an Existing Ad Instead of a Spreadsheet
Setting up ads from an existing ad supports more ad formats (carousel, flexible ads) than the spreadsheet (XLSX) route. If you're hitting limitations with XLSX, set your ads up from an existing ad instead.
