Facebook Account Connections
Connection Policy
Ads Uploader is designed for one Facebook account per user subscription. This prevents abuse and ensures platform stability.
Monthly Limits
Within each billing month, you can:
- Connect one Facebook account initially
- Switch to a different account once
- Must wait until next billing cycle for additional changes
Example
- Day 1: Connect Account A
- Day 10: Switch to Account B (one switch used)
- Day 15: Cannot switch again until next billing cycle
Managing Connections
To Switch Accounts
- Go to Account Profile → Facebook Connection
- Disconnect current account
- Connect new Facebook account
- Re-authorize permissions
Remember: You only get one switch per billing month.
Browser-Specific Sessions
Your Facebook connection is tied to the specific browser you used to connect. This is by design. Meta requires browser-specific sessions for security and compliance.
What this means:
- If you connected in Chrome, that session won't work in Firefox or Safari
- Switching devices (e.g., laptop to desktop) requires reconnecting
- Incognito/private browsing windows don't share sessions with regular windows
This is expected behavior, not a bug. If you need to work from multiple devices, reconnect your Facebook account on each one.
Reconnecting Your Facebook Account
If your session expires or you need to reconnect:
- Go to Account (top right) > Profile
- Find the Facebook Connection section
- Click Reconnect Facebook
- Complete the Meta login and authorization flow
- Make sure to select all pages and ad accounts you need access to
Common Reconnection Triggers
- Meta periodically expires long-lived tokens (every 60-90 days)
- Changing your Facebook password invalidates all sessions
- Updating your Meta Business account security settings
- Meta triggering a security review on your account
Meta Verification After Connecting
Sometimes Meta will trigger a verification step after you connect your account. This can include:
- Two-factor authentication prompts
- Identity verification requests
- Business verification requirements
What to do: Complete the verification directly on Meta's platform, then return to Ads Uploader and reconnect. Ads Uploader cannot bypass Meta's security checks.
Selecting Pages During OAuth
A common mistake is skipping the page/account selection during the Facebook authorization flow. When Meta asks which pages and ad accounts to share:
- Select all pages you manage ads for. You can always change this later.
- Select all ad accounts you need. Missing accounts won't appear in Ads Uploader.
- If you accidentally skipped pages, disconnect and reconnect to get the selection screen again
Multi-User Access
If multiple people need to access the same ad accounts, use Team Accounts instead of sharing a single login. Each team member connects their own Facebook account and gets their own session.
